About

This is a blog which aims too offer a stats based perspective on topics in football and fantasy football.

My background to this blog is that I'm a graduate in Economics, and a large part of my education concerned econometrics (read: 'statistics for economics'), which forms the theoretical groundwork for many of the articles I write. I am not however a professional statistician or sports analyst, I'm no expert. But I do have a background in statistical and analytical methods, and hope that as I continue this blog I'll learn new techniques and theories to provide better articles.

Most posts will be fantasy football related, but I don't claim to be a fantasy football pundit (or even a good fantasy football player!), so view my blog posts as a tool that can help you with fantasy football, rather than advice about what to do. If you check the sidebar there is a list of fantastic fantasy football sites that offer superb advice.

Most of my fantasy football articles will now be hosted over at InsideFPL, which is a brilliant website. If you don't check it out your only depriving yourself of some quality content.

In the interests of transparency, I'm a West Ham supporter. However all my articles will try and be as unbiased as possible.

Any and all criticism would be really helpful, you can comment on a post here, or contact me on Twitter @The_First_Touch.
